Anicca is a Pali word for Impermanence. I was introduced to the term in a Vipassana retreat. Anicca is at the core of this meditation practice. “The meditator abides observing the phenomenon of arising, abides observing the phenomenon of passing away, abides observing the phenomenon of arising and passing away….” All events mental or physical come into being and dissolve. Everything arises, changes and disappears.
